Chrome is most favorite web browser around the globe. So it
is common target for Malware programs. Installing Untrusted and malicious extensions inside Chrome browser is harmful.
Many users are not aware that a malicious extension can
cause harm to their security and privacy. Chrome can't run properly or
performance issues and crashes.
The first option you have is to manage and remove all
unwanted extensions and settings. But sometimes this is not enough. Uninstall and reinstall Chrome can fix most
problems with Flash, plug-ins, default search engines, pop-ups, or Chrome
updates.
Uninstall Google Chrome
For Windows 10
On your computer, close all Chrome windows and tabs.
Click the Start menu Settings.
Click Apps.
Under "Apps & features" Click Google Chrome.
Click Uninstall.
Confirm by clicking Uninstall.
To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and
history, check "Also delete your browsing data."
Click Uninstall.
For Windows 8, 7, or Vista
On your computer, close all Chrome windows and tabs.
Open the Control Panel:
Windows 7 & Vista: Click the Start menu Control Panel.
Windows 8: Point to the top right of your screen.
Click Settings
Click Control Panel.
Click Settings
Click Control Panel.
Click Uninstall a program or Programs
and Features.
Double click Google Chrome.
To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and
history, check "Also delete your browsing data."
Click Uninstall.
Manually Clean Up
From program folder
To do that:
Go to C:\Program Files\Google
Or to C: \Program Files (x86)
Delete the Chrome folder
Deleting your Chrome profile folder you delete all the
stored data Bookmarks, Settings, Extensions, and History etc.
The Chrome Data to do that:
"Windows" + "R" keys to open the “RUN” window.
In "RUN" window copy and paste the
following command:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google
Press Enter
Rename (e.g. to
"ChromeBAK") or
Delete the Chrome folder.
